Scuba Diving in Belize

Belize scuba diving adventures are literally right outside your door. At Ray Caye, you are only minutes from some of the best diving in Belize. Our PADI dive operation can offer individual attention if needed and there’s never an issue of overcrowding. The Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve is a protected area in the central part of Belize’s barrier reef. It contains some of the healthiest and most thriving parts of the reef and is host to over 25 species of reef fish. It is also the area where, at certain times of the year, gigantic but gentle Whale Sharks migrate. This area, only minutes away from Ray Caye, makes for exceptional and unforgettable diving.

Snorkeling

When you’re staying at Ray Caye, amazing Belize snorkeling adventures are literally right outside your door. Our guided tour takes you to the nearby Gladden Spit, which is thriving with aquatic life. Between the months of April and June, this area has the highest concentration of Whale Sharks in Belize. Snorkeling in this area puts you at center of the action during their migratory stop. Another treat for guests on the island is night snorkeling. The lights at the end of the pier attract fish, rays, squid, turtles and various other marine life. Guests can grab their snorkeling gear and experience the thrill of night snorkeling right off the resort pier.

Every Ray Cay guest is given access to the resort’s pedal boats, Hobie cats, kayaks and snorkel gear. Set up your own schedule to customize a unique itinerary during your island stay. By the way, beachcombers generate their own adventures. If that describes you, find the ultimate bliss on the island.
