FAQs for Daytrippers

1. Can reservations be made for meals at Lionfish Grill?

Yes, we gladly welcome daytrippers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, provided the island is not privately rented. However, meal reservations are essential. For dinner, please reserve by 3pm at the latest to enable our kitchen to prepare accordingly.

Yes, the Lionfish Grill pool on the public side of the island is open to daytrippers.

Absolutely! Based on availability, you can book dive or snorkel tours by email, VHF channel 11, or in person.

The slide is in the resort guest area. However, if in-house occupancy is low, daytrippers may be allowed a turn with staff approval.

Yes, beer, soda, and water by the case are available at the Dive Shop. Other dry goods may be available at the chef’s discretion.

No official day pass is offered. Guests dining at the restaurant are welcome to enjoy the beach and pool before or after their meal.

Yes, rentals are available to daytrippers based on availability.

No, restroom use is complimentary for patrons of our shops, bar, or restaurant.

No. Fresh water is limited, so showers are not available to daytrippers.

Yes, an emergency phone is available at the Welcome Center to contact the mainland office.

4 to 6 mooring balls are available around the island, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Just 12 miles east of Placencia, Moho Caye is a 12-acre private island framed by swaying palms, soft white sand, and clear blue water. Located near the protected Laughing Bird Caye National Park, this secluded paradise is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, beachcombing, or simply relaxing in a postcard-perfect setting.

It’s a great alternative for groups looking for a laid-back, nature-filled day on the water—and for the adventurous, overnight camping is also an option.
