Pirate Reef Dive Shop, our onsite dive shop, makes diving tours easy and hassle free. Whether you bring your own gear or rent from our inventory, our divers will set up all the equipment on the boat for you and wash and secure them at the end of the day. Our experience guides are flexible and can arrange diving trips based on your schedule.
Ray Caye Resort, located in southern Belize, offers a variety of exciting Belize scuba diving adventures, including tours and packages, as well as scuba diving certification and lessons. Our ideal location just within the Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve offers for some spectacular scuba diving tours. Our diving tours can be done as either 1-tank, 2-tank or 3-tank dives and include tours to Silk Caye, the Barrier Reef, Laughing Bird Caye, South Water Caye, Glovers Reef, the Blue Hole, Shark Hole and the rare, yearly Whale Shark diving – this “must-do bucket list” dive is one of the most talked about dive tours in Belize. There are several other great diving sites near the resort, including the Wreck, Coral Garden, Pompion Wall, Turtle Canyons and a few others that guests can enjoy while vacationing with us.
While fishing is not allowed in the protected area of Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes, divers can enjoy a rare treat – spearfishing lion fish. The invasive lion fish are considered a threat to our reef and is not against the law to fish for them. We provide tridents for divers who want to spear-fish lion fish and we cook up a tasty meal from your catch at our restaurant – the Lionfish Grill.
Even though our Belize diving tours can be booked separately from the accommodations, divers can take advantage of our convenient diving package. This 6-Night Diving Package includes transfer from Placencia airport to the island, welcome drinks upon arrival, accommodations in our Oceanfront Cabanas, all meals (breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinners) and 3 days of 2-tank diving at the Belize Barrier Reef. This package includes all dive gear and can be upgraded to other dive sites such as the Great Blue Hole and Glover’s Reef (depending on minimum requirement signup for the tour)
Ray Caye also offers several PADI Scuba Diving Certificationosuch as Discover Scuba, Open Water Certification, Advance Open Water Certification among others.
